The brief
We were commissioned to create a striking centrepiece for the newly refurbished Anfield megastore. Delivered in collaboration with Lily Creative, the piece features a sleek metallic finish and a solid circular plinth, designed for maximum impact in a busy retail environment. The bold Liverbird sculpture makes an immediate impression as you enter the store, a great celebration of Liverpool's iconic symbol.

The Process
The liver bird was developed from initial concept through to final installation, the main body and wings were sculpted in fibreglass and the feet in clay, before being moulded and cast in fibreglass, an internal steel structure was fitted inside the bird that allowed us to attach the wings separately. A specialist metallic finish was then applied to give the appearance of cast metal. The piece was completed with a circular base and installed on site at the newly refurbished Anfield megastore.
