The brief

This hot air balloon basket was made to be permanently displayed in the foyer of The Safari Hotel at Chjessington World of Adventures, and had to be open at the back to allow members of the public to get inside to have selfies taken.

Project Details

We asked Spur Creative to bring to life our branded hot air balloon photo opportunity for our hotel lobby refurb. They had to work to an extremely tight budget and deadline and what they delivered exceeded all our expectations. They are highly professional and nothing is too much. We are beyond pleased with the product and look forward to working with them in the future!

The Process

Working to a design supplied by our client, Chessington World of Adventures, we made the basket with MDF and clad this with a plastic wicker effect vinyl. The ropes effect above the hot air balloon were made with metal tubes that we wrapped with rope. We then laser cut and printed the Chessington logo and upholstered the top edge of the basket with leatherette. The back of the basket had to be open to allow wheelchair access and for people to gain access to have their photos taken for social media opportunities.

The Result
