Oversized Precision: Oral-B in Boots

When Display Plan approached us to create six giant metallic pink electric toothbrushes for Oral-B, the goal was simple. Make them impossible to ignore.

Using a supplied toothbrush as a master reference, we created a mould to produce six identical oversized replicas along with custom stands. Each toothbrush was carefully finished with bristles, buttons and integrated screens, then masked and lacquered to achieve a striking metallic finish.

Placed within Boots stores as part of oral health displays, the giant toothbrushes instantly elevated the product from an everyday essential to a feature piece. In a retail environment where products often blend into one another, it drew the eye and cut through the surrounding noise.

Bold Colour and Festival Energy: Curaprox

For Curaprox, the setting was very different. Instead of a retail aisle, the brief was for a festival activation.

Working with Ann Squared, we created giant brightly coloured interdental brushes designed to hang from the display tent ceiling. Each handle was sculpted in polystyrene, moulded, cast in fibreglass and sprayed in Curaprox signature colours, including green, orange, yellow and blue.

Laser-cut brush heads were inserted into the tops, and eye bolts were added for safe suspension. The result was bold, playful and instantly recognisable. Suspended overhead, the oversized brushes created a canopy of colour that reinforced brand identity while drawing visitors into the space.

In event environments, height and movement matter. By lifting the product off the ground and scaling it up, the brand quite literally stood above the crowd.

Statement Personality: NYX Plump Duck

For a NYX plumping lip gloss display in Boots, we worked with Backlash Creative to create a giant four-foot-tall duck prop that embodied the bold personality of the product.

The duck was sculpted from polystyrene, hot-wired and shaped before being coated in fibreglass and meticulously filled and sanded to achieve a smooth finish. It was then painted a vivid purple, complete with long eyelashes and oversized glossy red lips that truly stole the show.

The high gloss finish on the lips reflected the plumping gloss itself, visually reinforcing the product benefit in a playful and memorable way. Surrounded by NYX lip gloss products in the store, the duck became an instant talking point and photo opportunity.

In beauty marketing, personality matters. This installation demonstrated how character-driven props can amplify brand tone while still sitting naturally within a retail environment.

Ice Cool Innovation: Braun CoolTec

Sometimes the story is not about colour, but about sensation. For a global Braun promotion, we were asked to create around one thousand ice block display props for the Braun CoolTec shaver. The entire advertising campaign revolved around the shaver feeling as cool as ice, and the retail concept required the product to appear embedded within a realistic block of ice.

Precision was key. Using CAD drawings, CNC cutting and sculpted masters, we created moulds that allowed the shaver to sit at the exact required angle while accommodating security wiring. The real challenge, however, was achieving the perfect ice effect.

Using high-quality, clear resin, controlled temperature environments and careful degassing techniques, we recreated frosty clarity with just the right amount of internal bubbles. Every single block had to meet the same standard. With around one thousand units produced, consistency was essential.

Delivered in bulk to a central distribution hub and then rolled out to stores worldwide, the final displays captured the cool, clean aesthetic of the product in a way that traditional point of sale simply could not.
